Designated
Funds
You can direct your gift to a
specific nonprofit organization or purpose. Help provide ongoing funding
for a senior center, museum, or virtually any nonprofit charitable
organization.
Donor
Advised Funds
These funds provide grant dollars to charitable programs of interest to
the individuals
who establish the funds.
Field Of
Interest Funds
You can target your gift to
address needs in important areas of community life. Arts. Aging. At-risk
youth. You identify your personal interest areas when making your gift:
our board awards grants to community organizations and programs that are
making a difference in the area you select.
Organizational
Endowment Funds
These are set
up to enable other nonprofit organizations place their endowment funds
with the community foundation. The community foundation regularly
distributes the available grant dollars back to these agencies for their
general purpose.
Operating Funds
These are funds that are established to
assist with the cost of the operating of the foundation with only the income
from the fund being used.
Scholarship
Funds
You can invest your gift in our community’s
future and show student you care. All with the guidance and personal
services of the McHenry County Community Foundation. You determine the
criteria students must meet to receive the Scholarship you establish.
With your assistance, students achieve their academic and
career-oriented goals—from preschool to postgraduate work.
Supporting
Organizations
You can invest your gift in our community’s

Funds
Nonprofit organization can
use an Endowment Fund through
the McHenry County Community Foundation to build their endowment and
enhance their ability to accept large and complex gifts.
Unrestricted Funds
This type of fund enables the Community Foundation to issue financial support to various
County non-profit organizations through an
annual grants program.
